Fishing waters: Kis-Bók oxbow lake (water body code: 14-038-1-1)
The 9.1-hectare water area hides an extremely diverse riverbed. Its western end is shallow and muddy, bordered by reeds and bushes. In the middle section, fallen trees hide trophy-sized fish. Here, the bed reaches depths of 4–5 meters. In the eastern section, the bed drops directly to a depth of 4–5 meters right next to the shore. The main fish species are carp and grass carp. Among predatory fish, catfish, pike, and pike-perch are the most typical. Anglers also often catch crucian carp and bream species.
Fishing is mainly possible from piers. On the northern side, cars can be parked nearby. The southern side can be accessed by boat. A boat dock is located on the western side. Next to it, visiting anglers can use a pier available with a day ticket. Boats are available for rent. Electric boat motors may be used. This is a 1.4 km long, varied fishing water. There are sections that are 6 meters deep and others that are only 2 meters deep. The shoreline is bordered by bushes, fallen trees, and reeds. Its main fish species are carp, pike-perch, and bream species. As it is a natural water, many other fish species can also be caught, including catfish, pike, roach, common bream, bleak, white-eye bream, chub, grass carp, and perch.
Access: From Barcs, take Road 6 eastward, then after the roundabout turn right toward Zátonytelep. After passing the anglers’ lodge building, keep left to reach the Kis-Bók oxbow lake.
